Share Your Story at the 2025 e-Assessment Association International Conference
Have you been part of a groundbreaking e-assessment project that transformed the way learning and evaluation happen? Whether it's transitioning from traditional pen-and-paper assessments, introducing innovative formative assessments in education or workplace settings, or using technology to enhance teaching and track progress, we want to hear from you!
This is your chance to showcase your experience, share insights, and inspire others by presenting a case study at the conference. Speaker Guide
Here are some hints and tips to help you make the most of your submission.
No Sales Presentations
Delegates don't want to see a sales pitch. It is one thing that delegates hate, and you risk people walking out during your talk. It is okay to talk about a platform or technology, but only in the context of a case study that provides delegates with actionable inisghts, advice and guidance so that delegates have practical information they can apply to their project.
Presentations
Presentations for the conference will last between 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the format. This total time should include any time you may need for Q&A. Therefore, please keep an eye on the time. Each session will have a chair and a member of the conference team, they will prompt you when it is time to stop, so please keep a look out for timing slides.
Presentation Technology
We have a number of different presentation formats with a mix of purely in-person and hybrid speakers coming in remotely (Main Stage Only). Therefore we will be catering for all situations.
Simple slide presentations can easily be accommodated. More complex presentations can be accommodated as well, so long as you speak to the team first.
Video & Audio in Presentations
If you plan to show video and audio in your presentation, please speak to a conference team member beforehand. We can prepare the video so there is little or no break in the flow of the presentation whilst you play it.
Main Stage
The Main Stage will have an AV team in there ready to support you. Please check in with the team and the conference team at the start of the break before your session or on arrival if you are presenting during the first session.
Interactive Stage
We encourage you to use the Interactive Stage if at all possible, as getting 'hands on' is a great way to demonstrate what you do and how your project has made a difference.
Computers
TEAMCo are providing computers for the room. There will be approximately 20 computers on round tables in groups of three. We expect more than one delegate to use each computer. Each computer will consist of a monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Software
Each device will have Edge, Chrome and LibreOffice (similar to MS Office) installed. If you require any additional software then please install it ahead of the session. People presenting in the next session will have priority on set up.
Internet
There will be Wi-Fi internet via a wired connection to a router. Be ready with a plan B in case of a slow internet or network disruption.
Help in the Room
TEAMCo staff will be available to support the interactive session. Their job is to help invigilate and support the technical delivery of exams so they will be able to help, however, they may need clear guidance. If you have instructions for setting up, then we suggest printing out a copy for each workstation.
Format and Time
The less time is spent trying to resolve technical issues, the better. Please arrive early or during the break to complete your setup. The team will be on hand to help you ensure everything is working. Aim for about 10mins of hands-on activity.
Usernames and Passwords
If you need to provide these, keeping this consistent will improve users' experience and speed up access. Each workstation will be numbered, so please use this as a basis for any username and password access. We would recommend a format of:
On arrival
Please visit the room to speak with a member of the team at the start of the break prior to your session to ensure your presentation is all in order!
Specialist Tracks and syndicate stages
Please make sure you are at your allocated room in good time. If your talk is in the middle of a session, please make sure you are at your allocated room at the START of the break between talks. This may require you to leave the session prior to your talk early in order to be ready to change over.
