Pearson with Remote Invigilation Service - International GCSEs
Being recognised in this manner is truly an honour and highlights the importance of innovation within the assessment landscape. Every student, subject and assessment is unique. And by embracing innovation, we have the power to alter the future prospects and opportunities for students who may not thrive in traditional educational settings. We are so grateful to the pioneering students and families who participated in this pilot, as their invaluable contributions have enabled us to support more students in the future. It has been our privilege to engage with them and gain insight into their individual circumstances. The success of this project is the result of extensive collaboration and dedication from teams across Pearson. We are immensely proud of the collective efforts that have brought us to this point.
The British Council with British Council Primary English Test
This is the first British Council assessment product that is stage-adaptive (that is, it adapts to the level of the test-taker during the test session) powered by AI (specifically, automated scoring via machine learning) and we are deeply honoured to be acknowledged by the prestigious e-Assessment Association, which has promoted technology in assessment since 2008. This recognition will encourage us – as an organisation and as individuals – to keep striving for excellence as we continue to evolve alongside future technological trends. And of course, such an accolade will create more positive engagement with our valued customers. Through the stages of scoping the initial opportunity; creating the academic concept; incorporating AI to develop a test customised to be engaging and have quick, accurate scoring; ensuring a smooth customer experience via an intuitive delivery platform; to ultimately launching the product – we acknowledge all our colleagues within the British Council, and our partners at MetaMetrics and TCS for their commitment and enthusiasm.
