Tom is a Project Developer at Kaplan International Pathways, with specific responsibility for the UK-wide provision of English for Academic Purposes alongside other assessment innovation projects. He holds a master’s degree in the Sociology of Media and Culture (with a research specialism in the political iconography of late modern democracy in popular culture, specifically that of Margaret Thatcher), a postgraduate certificate in Educational Practice and is currently awaiting final results for a Cambridge Diploma in TESOL, where his course design focused on content-language integrated learning. Since moving to academic project development from a previous teaching role, Tom has led projects to improve practice in marking standardisation, marking academic integrity, and assessing group work.
